This week, John is joined by Dexter Duran, as we take a look at The Secret of Monkey Island. We look at the gameplay, and how insulting your opponent was the way of doing things. We look at the characters and see why they were really fleshed out for a game made in 1990. We discuss the theory that this is a game set in the mind of a child, and the subtle clues that lead it to you. We also discuss our own personal love of the game, and why it’s fantastic, and how a circle of inspiration lead to one of the biggest movie franchises of all time.
We also say a few words about the sad death of comic book icon Stan Lee.
