Hey guys, we are back with the launch of Season 3! This week we start our 3 part series on the “Fall and Rise of Pro Wrestling”. We take a look at what wrestling looked like before the 90’s, and how it was almost dead by the time 1990 came around. We look at some scandals, and the clueless people running promotions, with the exception of a few. We talk about the biggest draw in the world was stale, and how the first shots of the Monday Night Wars were fired. John also explains where we have been, as well as our and his futures. Also we take a look at the most humiliating moment in Wrestling History.

This week we continue our discussion of Pro Wrestling in the 90’s. We look at how a simple hug changed WWF’s outlook of the decade. How did Hall and Nash leave WWF for WCW, and how a 17-year-old untrained kid, was almost killed in the ring, by an upset wrestler. We also look at some controversial moments, Pillman Having a Gun, and the infamous Montreal Screw job (But not in too much detail). That as well as answering who were the WCW Champions in the 90’s, and finding out who was your favorite Wrestlers of the 90’s.
John also has one or 2 things to say about his depression, and urges ANYONE who needs help to get it…

After 2 weeks, we get into the meat and potatoes of the 90’s wrestling scenes, 1998-1999. We look at how WCW were sleepwalking into oblivion, even though they were strong in 1997. ECW stays out of the limelight, until they need a TV Deal, and how WWF took over in the Monday Night Wars, but relied on a lot of T & A to get ahead. We go over one of the saddest nights in the history of wrestling, as well as the moments when WCW shot itself in both feet, with a combination of political stroke, a finger, and not realizing how popular a target of scourn was. We also look at who were WWF Champions in the 90’s.

Sunday Jun 03, 2018
Sunday Jun 03, 2018
This week John takes a look at Definitely Maybe, the debut album of Oasis, which is considered in the UK music press one of the greatest debut albums of all time. We go track by track and analyze the history, theme, and meaning behind all 12 tracks on the album, as well as a handful recorded around this time. We also explain how the album took shape, and why Oasis may be the best band ever, who never cracked America. John also has a few words to say about the fallout of the Roseanne stupidity, his thoughts on Loris Karius, and give you some advice on how to dress like a Britpop Star.

This week John is joined by Sarah, as we look at world famous smut peddler, and First Amendment Hero, in his biopic “The People vs Larry Flynt”. We look at the behind the scenes, how the major cast were just about perfect for their roles. We look at the parallels between Althea Flynt and Courtney Love. We look at who else would have been the main cast, and ask if they would have been better, and have commentary on how important Larry was to peoples First Amendment Rights, regardless of which side of the aisle you are on. Also John has a few words to say about the upcoming World Cup in Russia, the sad death of Anthony Bourdain, and our resident Sarcastic Teen has a thing or 2 to say about research.

This week John is joined by Gregg Gregory to look at video games in the 90’s. They look at the dark times of the 80’s, and how Atari shot themselves in the foot. How the Nintendo was as common as the toaster in some houses, and how Sega was ahead of its time, all of the time. They also talk about how Sony changed the landscape forever, the reinvention of the Arcade, the death of Atari, and how online gaming while in its infancy had many plusses. John also explains why we’re a week behind, his world cup-date, and his own opinions on the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6.

A sick John, and Gregg continue their trip down memory lane this week, as the conversation turns inward, as we discuss the great video games of the 90’s. Hear or opinions on how genre’s changed, and what were some of our favourite games in the era. We talk everything from the gore fest that was Doom to every British football fan’s “Dungeons and Dragons for Jocks” Football/Championship Manager. There are some sacrilegious statements that gamers may not like (Shaq Fu = Not THAT bad), and a hat tip to the folks making video gaming review content.
Also John shows why he shouldn’t be trusted with football predictions, and we have a few words to say about the USA ’94, along with other bits and nonsense.

In the Season 3 finale, John is once again joined by Gregg Greggory, to finish their discussion of Video Games in the 90’s. The 5th Generation is talked about in depth, from the consoles to games. We discuss hyper violence in games that the time, how Nintendo and Sega too their eye off the ball. We go a little into modern and 2000’s gaming (For contextual purposes), as well as a look that the community at large. We point out how developers grew up, but forgot the younger folks for a time, and how parents are dumb when ignoring ESRB ratings for games.
John also talks about what grinds his gears as a proud Welshman, and we look at a product with a great function, but a horribly silly name.
