This week, John is joined by Ben Tynan as we sit and talk about all 6 movies in Kevin Smith’s magnum opus, The View Askewniverse. We talk about each film, and in depth about some of its technical aspects, as well as the behind the scenes. We talk about how Clerks was the first movie of its kind, as well as how some of the topics were never heard of at the time. We talk about Mallrats, and how its plot was awful, but how it was a cartoon of a movie. We look at Chasing Amy, and while it hasn’t aged well in terms of morality, on the surface, but actually could be considered a commentary on today’s dating society. We talk about how Dogma is a very underrated movie, and the ludicrousness of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and how it all comes full circle back to Clerks 2.

This week, John is flying solo, as he take the time to talk about his favourite Christmas movie, The Muppet’s Christmas Carol. He looks at how in his humble opinion, Michael Caine’s Scrooge is the definitve one. He looks ate the laughable notion that this was considered a risky movie, as well as going into depth of the plot of the movie. He also looks at how Caine’s treatment of the Muppets, lead to a fantastic performance, and how this would have been a perfect movie, if 1 song had not been cut.

After what feels like an eternity, THE 90’s PODCAST is back! This episode, John is joined by Gregg Gregory, to take a look at perhaps the greatest cartoon in the history of television… The Simpsons. We look at the humble backgrounds of a show, which was created in 20 minutes. We look at the characters, and how they became pop culture icons. We track the shows running gags, and the general themes and humor of the show.
Also we have a few housekeeping issues. Why we have rebranded to the Because Maybe Network, Where has John been for the past few months, what work goes in to a show like this, and a quick nod to one of the most unintentionally funny moments in podcasting history.

The 90’s podcast returns with our final discussion on The Simpsons. John and Gregg sit down and talk about some of the more juicer elements of the show. Did the Simpsons really predict everything? We look at the skewer they gave to the 90’s presidents of America, and how if you were offered a cameo, take it. We look at the controversies surrounding their stereotyping, as well as an attempt to be “woke” backfired.
